Dame Bradbury's U11 girl cricketers secure second place at regional tournament

The U11 girls cricket team from Dame Bradbury’s Junior School in Saffron Walden were delighted to finish in second place at the annual IAPS Cricket Festival hosted at Haileybury School.

The festival showcased the strongest school cricket teams across Essex, Hertfordshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire. Dame Bradbury’s U11 girls began Winter Net training during the spring term and have been developing their skills in preparation for the event.

Sam Godfrey, Head of Sport at Dame Bradbury’s, said: “The girls gave an exceptional performance, achieving  an excellent second-place finish against very strong opponents. We are incredibly proud of not only their performance at the festival, but also their remarkable progress as cricketers. Their hard work and determination have led to significant improvement.. We look forward to continuing to support  the team in developing their cricketing skills.”
